Sick

DSC07542

This was taken on Sunday. Poor Sarah was feeling so poorly but still wanted to model her reindeer antlers.  We should have another pair somewhere around here, I haven’t come across them yet though.

Two of my girls have been sick. Saturday both Sarah and Sophie had the sniffles but really nothing major. Then Saturday night it really kicked in for Sophie. She spent most of the night crying because she didn’t feel good. Which even when she’s sick isn’t like her. Not sure what was going on there but she hasn’t don’t it again.

Sunday afternoon it really kicked in for Sarah. She’s not as bad as Sophie but still not doing the best. They have both been running a temp off and on since Sunday evening. It’s controlled very easily with Tylenol so that’s a plus.

Then yesterday I was taking the girls temps and Sarah wanted me to take mine. Long and behold I was running a temp of 100.  I don’t “feel” good. But then I never “feel” good but I certainly didn’t think I had a temp.  I took some Advil and it knocked the fever right out.

Now Emma is coughing a bit, says her throat is a bit sore. No fever yet. She is going to school today even though I told her she could stay home if she wanted to. She loves school I guess.  She hasn’t missed a day this year.  Every year she makes the goal that she’s not gonna miss any days as she wants that award you get for not missing any. But she usually gets really sick and ends up missing a day or two. This year I think it has a bit more to do with the massive amount of homework she would have from missing a day.

It’s so hard to believe tomorrow is Dec. 1st.  I normally have little trees that hang on the wall. They have little pockets and are numbered 1-24. Kind of a count down to Christmas.  Well, been doing it since I was a child and every morning there is a little treat in there for the kids. Usually just some small piece of candy. Not sure it’s gonna happen this year or not.  With the candy that is.  I’m gonna have Justin go into the dungeon and look for the trees and I’ll just write the girls a note from the heart each day.  Sophie my little hoarder will probably keep them all. She still has the note I wrote to her on her first day of school that I put in her lunch box.  Which she was so happy about. She smiled and said her teacher saw it. I guess that means I’m super cool or something. LOL

Signing off for now Please always remember   “Behold the turtle. He makes progress only when he sticks his neck out.”

How Prissy Are You?

You Are a Bit Prissy
From time to time you can be a princess, but these days, who isn't a little high maintenance?
You know what you want, and you're definitely not afraid to ask for it.
(Just refrain from having a temper tantrum if you don't get your way!)
There's nothing wrong with having high standards... as long as they're occasionally low enough to allow spontaneity and fun!

Once Upon A Time…….

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away. In a little state known as Iowa. There lived a family. This family lived in the middle of no where. They had to travel many miles to get supplies for the homestead.  If the weather was good they would get  mail delivered to them in a pick up truck with a flashing light on the top.

The Mother of this family had lots of health problems and had to travel far and  wide, often to see several doctors.  She would go from one doctor to the next.  In hopes of finding the one that would wave a magic wand and take away all her pain.

There were children of assorted ages that lived in this itty bitty house in the middle of no where.  5 children to be exact. Though this Mother had 6 children only 5 lived there. You see one of her children was in a land even further away, off fighting a war and making her very proud.

This family had some very beloved pets. Two dogs and one cat. When the Mother was feeling especially ill one of the dogs and the cat would stay next to her to keep an eye on her.

While these children knew how ill their mother was they never wanted to help out with the chores.  They were always to tired, or it’s not their mess.  This made the Mother very, very frustrated.

Then one day the Mother had an enlightenment. While this didn’t get the chores done and it certainly didn’t take the pain away. It made her realize that life is what you make it.  She could sit at home and say oh woe as me. Or she could smile and realize that there others so much worse off. That even though what she was going through was bad, there was a reason she was chosen to go through it.

She knew that one day she would be able to help others deal with their own health issues. That all she had to do was open herself up and Goddess would be there for her with her hand outstretched.

There is no end to this story as with life and even death there is always just new beginnings and new paths to take.

What Wizard of Oz Character Are You?

You Are Dorothy
You are a little lost right now, but you are slowly finding your way home.
You are a kind and loyal person. You are the truest friend anyone could ever have.

You have an active imagination, and you are intrigued by far away places. You make friends easily.
But at the end of the day, there is no place like home. You value your family and roots.

Dream Or Premonition

I got about an hours sleep over night. Not the two hours I got the night before but still much better then the zero I had been getting.

What is weird is I went into dream state so quickly and I still remember the dream. It was very vivid.  Now I don’t remember the whole dream but there are parts that stand out.

For instance I went up to this woman whom is a known psychic and said can you tell me about the 8yr old boy that passed away? I was feeling his energy, she said real fast that no she couldn’t and kind of gave a side ways glance to the man sitting next to her.  More stuff happened that are fuzzy around the edges and while I can see the images in my head I can’t put it into words. Not because it was so far out just because my brain isn’t letting me access that part.

So later in the dream I see a man sitting in what looks like a bus seat. I went up to him and I said I know what you did. He turned and looked at me and gave me this menacing stare and said oh yeah what is it that you think I did. I told him how I know he raped…………then my alarm went off and boom I was out of the dream. The entire dream was in color and I saw this man’s face in detail. He’s not someone I’ve met before in real life. I could feel the raw emotions all around me in the dream.  So what does all this mean you ask? Well, I’m not really sure but I do know when I have a clear dream like that it usually means something.

I’ve also had an “off” feeling the last few days like something is getting ready to happen but I can’t place what it is or what it has to do with.

The last few nights I’ve been reading The FireFly Lane Girls. It’s a really good book and looking forward to seeing how it all ends.  In case your wondering it’s not even remotely about anything that I dreamt about. I’ll be sure and blog about it once I’m done but if you want a quick sneak peek then click on my link up there.

Thought for today:

Today’s thought:
