This was taken on Sunday. Poor Sarah was feeling so poorly but still wanted to model her reindeer antlers. We should have another pair somewhere around here, I haven’t come across them yet though.
Two of my girls have been sick. Saturday both Sarah and Sophie had the sniffles but really nothing major. Then Saturday night it really kicked in for Sophie. She spent most of the night crying because she didn’t feel good. Which even when she’s sick isn’t like her. Not sure what was going on there but she hasn’t don’t it again.
Sunday afternoon it really kicked in for Sarah. She’s not as bad as Sophie but still not doing the best. They have both been running a temp off and on since Sunday evening. It’s controlled very easily with Tylenol so that’s a plus.
Then yesterday I was taking the girls temps and Sarah wanted me to take mine. Long and behold I was running a temp of 100. I don’t “feel” good. But then I never “feel” good but I certainly didn’t think I had a temp. I took some Advil and it knocked the fever right out.
Now Emma is coughing a bit, says her throat is a bit sore. No fever yet. She is going to school today even though I told her she could stay home if she wanted to. She loves school I guess. She hasn’t missed a day this year. Every year she makes the goal that she’s not gonna miss any days as she wants that award you get for not missing any. But she usually gets really sick and ends up missing a day or two. This year I think it has a bit more to do with the massive amount of homework she would have from missing a day.
It’s so hard to believe tomorrow is Dec. 1st. I normally have little trees that hang on the wall. They have little pockets and are numbered 1-24. Kind of a count down to Christmas. Well, been doing it since I was a child and every morning there is a little treat in there for the kids. Usually just some small piece of candy. Not sure it’s gonna happen this year or not. With the candy that is. I’m gonna have Justin go into the dungeon and look for the trees and I’ll just write the girls a note from the heart each day. Sophie my little hoarder will probably keep them all. She still has the note I wrote to her on her first day of school that I put in her lunch box. Which she was so happy about. She smiled and said her teacher saw it. I guess that means I’m super cool or something. LOL
Signing off for now Please always remember “Behold the turtle. He makes progress only when he sticks his neck out.”
