Ok, I’ve gotta rant. I have to get up at 5:30am to get my girls up for school. 5:30!!!! So I get them up, and it was no easy feat today. Neither one of them wanted to get up.
Once they were up things went smoothly. They got dressed, got their stuff together and turned on their favorite morning show. It’s reruns of an older show called “Boy Meets World”. I’m counting down the minutes cause my ass is draggin per the norm because I can’t sleep at night.
Bus gets here. I start having an inner celebration and I look out the window and the bus is still here. About that time Emma comes in the door. She had let Guess in. I asked her what was going on. She said they are waiting to find out if there is going to be a 2 hour delay. WHAT?!!!!! Your gonna start picking up kids and THEN debate on if you should have one? Are you friggin kidding me? You couldn’t decide two hours ago like the rest of the schools did?
A few minutes later both girls come trotting back in the house. Guess what? Yep you guessed right, a 2 hour delay. So the bus is still sitting in front of my house. Why you ask? Because they have to figure out what to do with the other kids that have been picked up for school.
I am beyond irritated over this. I’m not upset at the busdriver it’s not his fault at all and I’m sure he’s just as or even more irritated then I am. After all he had to get up, warm up the bus and started picking up the kids on his route to be told oh just kidding. You get to do this all over again in two hours.
So Emma is laying down on the couch for a bit of a siesta and Sophie informed me she thought she could stay awake for the two hours. LMAO! I love that girl!
In case your wondering the two hour delay was caused because of dense fog. Which has been dense since LAST NIGHT with dense fog warnings. (eye roll)
No offense intended for the above tag. Just kinda reflects my mood at the moment.
