Trapped

Live_Radar_full

So we are having an epic storm. My area is supposed to get at least a foot of snow, add to that the horrible wind gusts. We are in the dark, dark blue.

We already have drifts in the road that are 4ft. Got lots of hours left for this storm. A few hours ago the wind whipped my screen door making the glass pop out and shatter. Pieces of the frame are well in pieces.

The above used to be the glass in my screen door. Now it’s laying outside on a snow drift. The wind really did a number on it. Pieces of glass shards everywhere. Next to impossible to clean up.

Here is what is left of my screen. This was actually while it stayed half way closed. Now it’s just swinging back and forth and banging. Going to be a very long night. I have no tools to try and fix it. Cant’ take the hinges off and can’t hammer the pieces back into place. It really irks me that I’m not allowed to have tools. That control issue is coming to an end. This is a precise moment of why I need tools.  I am so sick of being controlled. No more I tell you this right now.

So I just snapped a pic of our porch, which by the way is carpeted and now ruined because of the snow that has blown in.

You can see the snow is blowing in as I take the pic. Also the door isn’t even showing at this point. I have no idea where it is. I still hear it banging so I know it’s at least semi attached.  This is a enclosed porch. There shouldn’t be snow.  Come morning I think we will be lucky to open our door from the house to the outside.

Our road is closed, we are almost out of TP, very little cat food. I’m one very unhappy person at the moment.  I feel trapped. Well, I AM trapped. I can’t walk anywhere in this weather. To far to get anywhere, I don’t even own a pair of snowboots. I think we have probably 6 miles of gravel alone before you reach hwy.

On the bright side the girls are getting the first snow day of the season and they are happy. Who knows they may end up with two snow days. Smile

I can’t get either dog to go outside to do their business. I can’t say that I blame them. I wouldn’t want to go out in this just to go pee.

Earlier Sophie and Sarah were watching the wind whip the snow around like little mini tornados. They were just fascinated with it. Sophie told me watching the blizzard was better then tv. Smile

This storm isn’t only hitting us. It’s hitting many other states and is coming in all sorts of forms. Some are getting ice, some are getting rain, and lots are getting lots and lots of snow. So for those of you affected by this storm grab your favorite hot beverage and put in a movie and just enjoy the quiet of the snow.
