Health Update

I went to see my regular doctor on Tuesday. The meds for the fibro are working well so thats good.  He’s referred me to a rheumatologist.  I have my first appt. with him next Thursday.  When they called to set up the appt. with me they told me it might just be a one time thing. All depends on if they think my regular doc can monitor my RA or if it’s bad enough I need to continue to see the specialist.

My Dr. repeated some tests on my kidney’s and once again they came out bad.  I’m still spilling protein and the blood test shows elevated inflammation.  What does that mean? Well, I really don’t know much. It appears my kidney’s are not functioning as they should.  I have to go to the lab at my local hospital and pick up a container then I have to pee in it for the next 24 hours and then turn it back into the lab. 

Today I have my first appt. with the psychologist. I’m not sure if it’s a one time appt. or if she will be someone I will be seeing on a regular basis. She’s specialized in people with chronic pain.   The specialist I see for pain thinks that I’m far to stressed (ya think?), that I’m not handling the fact that I’m in pain all the time well (ummm does anyone handle being in pain all the time well), and that I’m depressed.  I have to be there super early to fill out registration forms then a bunch of papers on top of that. Probably my health history and my mental health history. 

I failed the first mental health form I had to fill out which is one of the reasons why I’m being sent to her. LOL I seem to be failing a lot of tests these days. 

My pain has gotten worse over the last few months. I can’t sit up for long and I can’t make it through the day without a nap.  Not sure if the nap thing is from the pain, the pills, or a combo of them both.

I AM very grumpy all the time these days and having issues with seeing the bright side of things so I’m hoping this woman can get me back on the right track.

On a good note. I DID win those tickets for the Papa Roach concert.  I still don’t really know who he is. Emma played a song by them for me and I have heard it on the radio.  I gave the tickets to Justin. I hope he has a good time tonight.  I dont think he’s ever been to a concert before.

Well, I could go on and on which tells me I need to blog more. But since I’ve all ready written a mini novel I’m gonna sign off here.
